Overview This Formosa 51 was designed by the famous Canadian-American Engineer William Gardner, little more than 100 boats of this model were ever built. This centre-cockpit version is rarer still, offering both safety and comfort while cruising. This Formosa has been under the ownership of her second owner since 1981, and is for sale in need of some renovation to get her back to her best. Descriptions MechanicalThis 1978 Formosa 51 is powered by a Ford Lehman 120hp 6-cylinder diesel engine with a Borg Warner 2.5 2:1 gearbox which drives a 3-blade prop. Accommodation The Master aft cabin has direct access to the deck and features a double bed, large feature window, seating space with extracting table and an ensuite bathroom with electric toilet, shower with basin, warm and cool water, mirror, bath tub/shower and washing machine The forward guest cabin has bunk beds with a double berth and single above. The guest bathroom also features electric toilet and shower. A pilot berth is located in the passage to the aft cabin and the saloon converts to provide an additional double berth. Saloon and Galley The saloon features a sofa area with a table which can convert to form a double berth. There is also a navigation station with a chart table and an interior helm position. The separate galley is well equipped with a 2-burner gas cooker, electric ceramic glass cooker, electric oven, double sink, 2x 12v refrigerators and a microwave.
